Let’s Talk About Body Confidence This Summer

Your body is not the problem. The pressure, the comparisons, the unrealistic beauty standards… that’s the problem.

Let’s be real for a second…

Summer can be hard when it comes to body confidence. The clothes get lighter, the sun comes out – and suddenly that little voice in your head starts getting louder.

“I’ll wear that when I lose weight.”
“My arms are too wobbly.”
“I used to feel better in my skin.”

Sound familiar?

Body Positive Affirmation

Here’s what I want you to remember – and I say this with so much love:

👉 You don’t need to change your body for summer.
You need to change how you talk to it.

Your body is not the problem. The pressure, the comparisons, the unrealistic beauty standards… that’s the problem.

Here are 3 small things that might help you feel a little better in your own skin this summer:

🌸 1. Wear the clothes you like.

Not the ones you think you “should” wear.
If you love the colour, wear it. If it feels good, wear it. Don’t wait for a “better” version of your body. Dress for the version of you that’s here right now.

💬 2. Talk to yourself like you’d talk to your best friend.

You wouldn’t tell her to cover up or criticise her tummy. You’d hype her up and remind her how fab she is. Do the same for you, please.

✨ 3. Say thank you to your body.

It’s carried you through life, stress, babies, heartbreak, joy.

It’s done a lot.

That alone makes it worthy of respect.
